V4ult feature

Identification cards in V4ult

V4ult lets you store identification documents (ID cards, driver's license, etc.) encrypted in the same vault as your passwords, with the same on-device AES-256-GCM encryption.

Besides passwords, V4ult lets you store identification documents — the kind of information people otherwise carry as photos in a phone's gallery, unencrypted.

Like the rest of the vault's items, this data is encrypted on the user's device with AES-256-GCM before syncing, and is never stored or transmitted in plaintext to V4ult's servers.

The V4 Standard plan includes up to 5 identification cards; the V4 Pro plan offers unlimited.

Frequently asked questions

Can I store identification documents in V4ult?

Yes, the V4 Standard plan includes up to 5 identification cards and the V4 Pro plan offers unlimited, encrypted on-device the same way as the rest of the vault.

Is storing an ID in V4ult safer than a phone's photo gallery?

A phone's photo gallery is typically not encrypted with a per-item key tied to a master password; V4ult encrypts each identification card with AES-256-GCM before it's even synced.
